That notorious night of the year is once again approaching...Bonfire night, The 5th of November, or Guy Fawkes' night, has plenty in store for us this year with captivating firework displays set to light up the sky all across the city. Check out our list of the fabulous displays happening south of the river and order your tickets quickly so you don't miss out!
1. Battersea park Fire Display - Saturday 4th November
A ticketed event, Battersea Park Fire Display proves to be popular every year. Gates open at 6pm for pre show entertainment and to grab something tasty from the food and drink stalls. Remember to bring cash as there are no card facilities onsite. The bonfire is lit at 7.30pm and the firework display starts at 8pm.Tickets for the 50,000 capacity sell out in advance and are only available online here.
2. Southwark Firework display - Sunday 5th November
Southwark Council’s Firework display is set to bring the sky to light for the 14th year in a row this Sunday 5th November at 5:30pm. Check out the council’s website for more details and specifics here.
3. Crystal Palace Fireworks - Saturday 4th November
With the backdrop of the beautiful Crystal Palace Park, this exciting display sold out last year, so make sure you book early to avoid disappointment. With 2 shows being held this year, one for the children at 7pm, and the main event at 8.30pm, there’s something for everyone. More info here.
4. Wimbledon Fireworks/ Merton Fireworks - 4th/5th November
With an exciting musical themed display this year, Merton Council is providing a wealth of entertainment this year for South-West Londoners. Covering both Saturday 4th (Wimbledon Park) and Sunday 5th (Morden Park), each display will feature a Disney themed display at 6.45pm, and the ‘Festival Headliners’ at 8.30pm. 5. Blackheath Fireworks Display - Saturday 4th November
Attracting around 80,000 visitors each year, Lewisham Council’s Blackheath Fireworks is a favourite annual event for locals. With a funfair from 12pm, and bar and food stalls opening at 5pm, the run-up to the event will keep you entertained until the main event. Fireworks start at 8.30pm. More info here.
6. Lambeth Fireworks - Saturday 4th November
Lambeth residents can flock once again to Brockwell Park for the annual firework display there. Happening this year on Saturday 4th November, this year’s theme, A Night at the Movies, will see the epic 20 minute display feature quotes and soundtracks from a host of cult classic blockbuster movies. The event opens at 5pm with Live Music, Funfair rides, plenty of great food and drink and one of London's best fireworks displays taking place at 8pm sharp. For more info click here.
