The time has come, it’s finally our favourite time of year! The countdown to Christmas is truly upon us and what better way to celebrate the festive season than virtually visiting local Christmas markets and supporting dozens of independent businesses all across South London! SoLo Craft Fair’s yearly Christmas Market is going virtual for 2020, the events started back in October. Tune into their Instagram stories every Monday evening around 7.30 pm to browse hundreds of idyllic gifts from a huge assortment of independent craftspeople.
To Visit the Virtual Market:
1. Grab a drink and get relaxed.
2. Switch on to SoLo Craft Fair's Instagram stories between 7.30-9 pm on market nights. Duly note only 100 stories are permitted at one time, so check back 2-3 times during the event so you don't miss any sellers or simply view the highlights after the event.
3. If something catches your eye, you simply click through to the makers’ profile to give them a follow and discover how to purchase whatever you desire!
4. Please be persistent with postage, as this can be slower during these uncertain times.
5. Can’t tune in live? No problem at all. Each virtual market will appear as a highlight after the event has taken place, so you can browse whenever you can. The faultless method to support London’s gifted creators is all taken place from the comfort of your own home!
To Participate:
1. Follow: solocraftfair
2. During 7.30pm-9pm on market nights all you have to do is make ONE story presenting a product with its price and tag @solocraftfair - make sure their name is clickable ('mentions' occasionally don't work) and ONLY post during 7.30-9pm – they cannot share stories outside of this time frame, and remember these are stories not posts.
3. At some point during the event they will share your story and you will become part of the 'market'
4. If you are going to be involved, help indorse this event. It is completely free to take part in, consequently, there is no budget to promote. The achievement of the events comes down to everybody doing their bit to spread the word.
5. After your story has been shared, they will send you a link where you can make a £1 donation towards SoLo Craft Fair if you are happy to do so. This is entirely voluntary, however, as they haven't been able to run any physical events this year your donations will help keep SoLo Craft Fair alive, so would be significantly valued.
6. You can discover graphics to share for each event on Solo Craft Fair’s Instagram!
