This week, we had the pleasure of popping into Franzina Trattoria for a spot of Sicilian lunch! Ran by a husband and wife super team Pietro and Stefania, both were very welcoming and eager to show off their passion for bringing traditional food from their homeland to Brixton.

Decorated beautifully as a little pocket of Italy in the middle of Lewisham, Bella Roma was incredibly authentic, from the warming service to the delicious food. This restaurant is a celebration of Italy, from proud owners whose first priority is always their loyal customers.

This February I had the pleasure of taking a trip down to 336 Coldharbour Lane to visit The Shrub & Shutter during the kitchen residency with Donnellys. The evening was a delight, with a fantastic service that felt attentive, yet not overbearing and a beautifully candlelit atmosphere that provided the perfect escape from the hustle of Brixton town!
