Make do and Mend is a vintage clothing shop in Brixton, South London. A beautiful treasure trove of vintage & retro clothing, fashion items of all kinds and some stunning hand-picked accessories, Make do and Mend are well-stocked to add some exciting new pieces to your wardrobe. Since opening their shop in Pop Brixton, Sarah and the team have been offering an eclectic selection of items, from the 1950s through to the 1990s, to both men and women with an eye for fashion.

As well as clothing, they also stock a small, exclusive selection of vintage and retro homeware pieces. In addition, handpicked concessions from local designers and makers also make their way into this delightful vintage emporium.

All of their pieces are unique and sourced from around the world by Sarah herself and her partner. Everything they find is professionally cleaned, checked over and repaired where necessary - ensuring only the highest quality pieces reach the shop floor. The pricing of their items is extremely reasonable, considering the quality of the clothes and the care and attention spent making sure they are fit for purpose.

Alongside offering original vintage pieces, Make Do and Mend also have their own reworked fashion label (MDAM), which allows them to create pieces more in-line with modern fashion trends. The benefit of this of course is that Sarah is able salvage damaged items that would otherwise be destined for the bin, thus doing her bit to up-cycle.
