Truly Splendid Vintage Tearoom: Vintage Tea Room In Catford
Truly Splendid Vintage Tearoom is a tea room in Catford, South London, and was born out of a vision to create something to counteract the influx of big coffee chains. Fabulously decorated, the theme of vintage tea parties extends from the doilies & bone china to the cakes and the vast array of teas on offer. Originally an excellent mobile tea room set up by local resident Jenni Brady, the story behind this independent business is a testament to the creativity and entrepreneurialism in this part of South London.
Having been inspired by a trip to a Bridgenorth shop called Tea & Roses, a vintage style living shop and tea room, Jenni became set on opening her own team room in her local area. All cakes and scones are baked by Jenni herself and along with her right-hand-woman Pamela, each of their events requires a strict 1940s dress code, beautiful ceramics and a cheerful vibe.
Bringing the authentic tea room party right back into style in the 21st century, Truly Splendid are available for bookings for your party and can be found at various pop-up events across South East London.
